A water leak had developed on a heating pipe within a 5lm section of external service duct serving adjacent accommodation buildings at the University of East Anglia.

Jackson Environmental were awarded the contract to remove all asbestos containing materials under fully controlled asbestos conditions from the duct to facilitate pipe repairs.

To undertake asbestos removal works the affected section of duct was enclosed with a robust weather proof asbestos enclosure which was further reinforced with timber sheeting

All ACMs and asbestos containing debris were removed from the duct and the pipes completely cleaned. Our work was completed within 5 days which enabled follow on pipe repairs and the heating & hot water reinstated in time for the start of the new term.
